1. The project: Orato Offices

A sustainable and future-proof office. Designed with sustainably generated energy, focusing on a healthy working environment, with many terraces as green outdoor spaces. ORATO Offices literally means 'visible', which perfectly describes this office building. Not only is the centre of Amsterdam visible from the green terraces, the office itself - from the motorway - is also prominently visible. In addition, a void runs through the building, connecting the floors via unique sightlines.

2. Byldis Facades contribution to this project

Making complete element facades from aluminium. We do this in our own factory in Veldhoven. In the element facades, the copper-coloured cladding has already been applied, making the element immediately wind- and waterproof. After production, we bring them to the building site where we assemble the elements in no time.

3. Why was Byldis chosen? 

On the basis of relationship and trust. In addition, due to the very limited construction site space, this prefabricated method was chosen.

4. Challenges & solutions

Due to the short lead time on the project, an element façade was offered which could be produced and assembled quickly.
