1. The project: Paasheuvelweg 17

The development combination Doniger Urban Developments and Camelot Real Estate has signed a contracting agreement with Dura Vermeer Bouw Midden West for the transformation of the former office building at Paasheuvelweg 17. The vacant building in Amsterdam Zuidoost is transformed into a residential complex with 233 homes and associated facilities. The vacant office building was (partly) transformed into 57 homes with a two-storey parking deck above. Next to the existing office building, a residential building with 176 dwellings appeared, spread over 17 floors. A total of 233 dwellings were involved, of which 217 are intended for social rent and 16 for medium-rent. The residences are between 21 and 45 m2 in size, had a luxury kitchen and bathroom and were delivered ready-to-use. The new residential building also has a spacious roof terrace and catering facilities for the neighbourhood.

2. Byldis contribution to this project

Byldis was responsible for engineering, producing and assembling the structural precast concrete shell of the new building section and the concrete façade elements around the existing building.

3. Why was Byldis chosen?

Because of our expertise in designing, engineering and realising a structural concrete shell.

4. Challenges & solutions

The challenge was to assemble one floor per week plus the production to be realised for it.

"We set up the design to allow a high degree of prefabrication. This makes the quality of the project skyrocket"
Rutger van der Werf, project leader, Dura Vermeer Bouw Midden West
